Information about the campground’s location and business:
Getting there (proximity to a major road, signage, etc.)
it’s a good bit off the pa turnpike (tolls) but signage is good
Attractions (what's nearby for a daytrip?)
fallingwater (frank lloyd wright, architecture) is nearby, as is another of same architect’s work
Campground Staff (helpful, non-existent, mean?)
park ranger drove through several times per day
Other (cell phone reception, etc.)
phones work, pa state parks do not allow alcohol.

Information about the campground as a place
Facilities (bathrooms, store, etc.)
bathrooms are near any site.  the town is a few miles away with a general store and eateries
Water (lake, creek, swimming, fishing, etc.)
short statement from reviewer
Hiking Trails (variety, length, difficulty, etc.)
trails which go all over the park lead right out from the campground.  the trails are varied in distance,
elevationk and terrain: big river (youghiogheny), rocks (some climbing) wooded mountains
Views (what can you see here that is amazing?)
lots of views from high up of the valley, views on the river up the hills and down the river.  views are all over

Information about the campground’s tent sites
Beauty (if you sit at your site all day)
the campground is in the middle of the woods.  depending on your site, you could be 10 feet from the trails.
Privacy (how close do you feel to other sites)
walk in sites are the most private, though there is a gem or two in the drive-in sites (standard loops)
Facilities (table, fire ring, tent pad, water, etc.)
standard tables and fire rings.  there’s water near, but probably not right at your tent site.
Convenience (ease of setting up, close to bathrooms?, etc.)
again, this varies by site

Reviewer’s narrative
We’ve stayed here a few times with friends (who picked the sites and set up before we got there) and have been to the park several other times.  There is a nearly inexhaustible amount of hiking along the river, through the river and over the hills.  This is (arguably) the prettiest area in Pennsylvania.  The walk-in sites are definitely more private, though not extremely private; and would be my choice if I were picking the site.  However, the times others have chosen (a car site) they’ve found the good (most private) ones.  But, the campground puts you right next to a few trails that lead in to a system of pathways that you really can’t go wrong with.  They’ve got maps around if you want to have a target for your hikes; but this area is beautiful and you won’t be disappointed with wherever you end up.  This is a great place to set up a home base if you want to spend your time out on the trails or on the water.  Not the best place to hang out at your site in a hammock all day, though.
